Hi everyone , after reading lots of threads about iMac temps I became worried about my imac's temps... I dont know if its ok or not but I think my power supply works little hot... anyway here is my temps... ps airport is always on and last but not least if I turn off airport does it help power supply to stay kool? cause I can use ethernet instead of airport..thnx

Well... you could try it. My PSU has a temp of 59, and I'm using Ethernet. There may be a correlation.

The power supply is actually 10 degrees warmer than the Hard Drive which is the next hottest thing in my iMac.

Frankly, I'm trying not to worry too much about these things. So long as it lasts long enough for me to sell it on when Apple upgrade I should be ok.

No worries. Surprised that just the airport card would increase the temperature that much. It's not like it's a graphics card. Maybe it's proximity affected.

People like to worry themselves and I don't know why. Maybe it's the scaremongering media world we live in. Or maybe lots of PC users have now switched over and still like to spend their days peering at temperature readouts.

There is nothing to worry about.

My CPU fan matches yours almost exactly and all it's doing is web surfing and email fetching.

    In fact it's about 1200rpm.

Unless the fan seems noisy to you, don't worry about this. I'd be more concerned if it was going slower.
