I searched the internet and couldn't find any information, but it seems that the latest El Capitan update changed my iMac11,3's EFI version to IM112.0057.B03 while Apple's site still says IM112.0057.B01 is the current version.

Has anyone else had this? Does anyone know what changes are made in this update?

I also have a 27" iMac Mid 2010 (11,3)

I don't know what my prior EFI version was, after El Capitan it is now;

Thanks very much for pointing this out. The last couple of updates I got that horrid long beep noise on first reboot during the update that after searching seemed to relate to an EFI update/reset. I have been worried that my iMac is on its last legs or something. I guess I can rest a little easier!

I thought the Mac's EFI booted to the HD's EFI partition, which should be FAT32... If not, will all the supported systems get EFI updates to support AFS booting?
