Hi all,

Just wondering, are you familiar with a dead logic board in an iMac 27 2019?

Mine just did, it won't turn on and it smells like molten plastic, and now I'm trying to get it replaced under warranty at my local reseller, although I bought it online at Apple.

Is it still under warranty?
If so, let them handle it.

Might be either the logic board or perhaps the power supply?

Well, it is out of the 1-year warranty, but here in Europe, 2-year is consumer law. At first, the reseller billed 800 euros to get the job done, but after my complain, they fixed it under warranty, and they are going to claim it at Apple.

Just wondering if the logic board is a known problem. The verdict was that the logic board was fried.
