Good afternoon everyone,

I've been having issues with my mac, it first started with some random lines on the screen and then "puf" all gone, sometimes it has blue lines some times appears to be pink ones. tried to switch the cheaper component, the lcd cable and same result.

External screen does work fine but makes the fan spin like crazy, tried while having the internal lcd completly disconnected.

Any suggestion? Is it the LCD or is also the graphic card?

That looks purely like an issue with the LCD - you would have to replace it.

Well I guess I wont be changing this monitor as its listed quite pricey, any wild ideas for a decent (and clean) setup with an external display? are there any DIY imac to tower desktop ideas? I have the ssd working and 32gb on this thing and believe it can last at least few years easily (mostly offimatic work)
