Imac 27 Base Model (GPU upgrade to 6970M)

Laptop M17xR3 (comes std with MDP output) in my sig. connected to 2010 iMac 27". Awesome while gaming. Occasional flicker tho (not sure if it's the iMac or the AW) but annoying when it happens.

I did the math myself too, i can build a radeon 7970 rig with 2x Latest 250GB SSD in raid0 config & 2x 24" lcd etc.. for less than the cost of a $2000 imac. Basically the ultimate gaming pc.

The problem is.... it's NOT an imac. It will make my desk look like a setup in the matrix with wires coming out of everywhere...

Please show me a laptop that has high end graphics for $600 - seriously...

If you're gonna spend $1500 on a proper gaming laptop - I'd say spend it on a rockin' desktop...
