Hi!

Just got a iMac 27" that stock model with 1gb video card and 7200hdd.
Have use it for some hours now, should the fan run slow all the time?
Cant feel it sucking air in to the bottom or let it out from the rear of the screen?
Seems like i only could hear the hdd is on even after a couple of hours.

Maby it only run when it need it?

When the air arrive into the iMac, where do it take the way inside the computer? Just curious since it is placed in the bedroom where it is more dust than it is on another room.

No, you probably won't be able to hear it in normal use. If you do some heavy video editing or gaming then you will hear the fan spin up. It sucks air in from the bottom slots and pushes it out behind the stand.

If you download iStatMenu there are displays of the fan speed, which you will be able to see varying depending on need.
