Imac 27 late 2013 pci hdd question

I was wondering wich is the best solution to speed up my imac ,i noticed that i can put an ssd to my pci express port ,any suggestions ?

If you have an HDD then any SSD replacement will make a big difference on general use but it won't actually speed up things like compiling or rendering video etc just general use app opening etc.
