I've been trying to get Windows 7 (under Boot Camp) to recognize my Bluetooth Keyboard and Magic Mouse, and for some reason it's not working. I first tried it with the drivers that come on the disc, and those didn't work (found the mouse/keyboard but wouldn't work), then I tried the Bluetooth update that Apple released, and that didn't work either. The mouse and keyboard show up in the Bluetooth devices as 'Connected', but neither work.

When I restart the computer the mouse/keyboard work at the login screen, but once I login they stop working. If I boot into Mac OS, and then boot back into Windows, they work fully, but after about 5 minutes they stop working. Why is this happening? Did anyone else have this problem?

    Upsguy27,

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additiona assistance and feedback.

Yes, if the KB is paired with OS X, on boot it works 100%

It is for sure a Windows/driver issue. I did find an article where someone was able to get this working on their MBP by unpairing with OS X, pairing with Windows after removing the BC drivers and using what Windows Update used, and then pairing again with OS X.

For anyone else who has this issue, here is what I found. I have a solution, but it is only partial.

Bluetooth KB and magic mouse work before you install bootcamp drivers in Windows 7. They even work in the installer.

The Apple keys function keys do not work until the BT drivers are install.

After the boot camp drivers are installed, the KB and mouse seem to work for about 1-3 minutes on boot, then never again. Apple function keys work as well. This includes scroll on the MM.

Uninstalling and deleting the Apple Bluetooth drivers (an option on uninstall) bring back basic functionality, but no the Apple Function keys or scroll on the MM.

So sounds like there is a 'work around' that isn't very palatable to me. I will be using another KB and mouse until the new bootcamp update is out that supports the new iMacs.

So, at this point, should I switch to Vista or are the drivers close enough that I should stay with 7?
