my iMac is one of the ones in the recall/replacement of the 3gb hard drive. I'll be driving 1.5 hrs to an Apple Store for them to fix it.

Have any of you guys brought it into the Apple Store yet for replacement? How long did it take ? Did you have to leave it overnight? Thanks!

Not sure how it works at the apple store but I work at a authorized repair center and we have to get the replacement drive ordered from apple and it takes us about a week. Im assuming the apple store would have some on hand for this situation.

mine took about 3 days... but they had my drive in.... was quick and easy even though he said mine was the first one they'd seen on the program.

Did you take it to the Apple Store or authorized repair place?

I have a fusion drive and I was honestly disappointed in it. I thought it would have start up speeds like my MacBook Air with SsD
