iMac 5k 27" or 15" Retina MacBook Pro - Fully speced out?

So i know the obvious main difference is portability or larger screen and higher specs. i have an ipad pro 9.7 so i could go either way.

was originally gonna go 15" retina, but it has a processor from 2014 :/

im just curious, for your personal use or reasons, which one would you guys chose?

If you don't need the portability, do you really need to ask?

The iMac is better in nearly every way.

iMac has way better screen. I have both and side by side the MacBook screen looks kinda faded and dark.

Yeah if portability is not an issue always get the desktop.

I'm not sure adding a 15" rMBP would in anyway complement your iPad Pro in the way the iMac would. Seems pretty obvious to me.

In general, laptops and tablets are horrible for ergonomics. I wouldn't double down on that if I had the choice.
