Hi friends.

Today, I called Comcast asking them to upgrade my internet speed to 150mbps. Which they did for another 50.00 a month.
To be honest, I thought it was my internet that was causing the lag. My iMac is still lagging and I'm unsure why.

Applications that are installed:
Logos 6
Chrome
Dropbox
YNAB
Microsoft office
Evernote
AVG cleaner

Any suggestions? Just a side note: My daughter plays Minecraft using the internet as well as Animal Jam.

I read on another post to make another user name. Seems to work great. I wonder what is causing the lag on the other user name.

Can you explain what you mean by "lag?" You're talking about Internet and then applications, so it's hard to get a gauge on what the lag is for you.

No applications. Just the internet. When scrolling, my page flickers. Many times the page will simply not load at all. I was on Kate Spade's website, the images did not load for me.

5k iMac. What processor? How much ram? What type of video display adapter?

The screen flickers? Almost sounds like something is malfunctioning.

Everyone seems to be missing this point 🙂

There is something awry with perhaps application or system caches?

  1. Are any similar issues occuring on other devices that utilizes your internet; if so get comcast check out your cables/modem
  2. https://support.apple.com/kb/PH18536?locale=en_US this walks you through to see if your connection gets adequate response when communicating.
  3. Go to speedtest.net and check your speed.
  4. Reset your modem/router if you havent done do.

It seems to be my internet, unfortunately. Someone gave me a great link and I will have to set up the extreme and express upstairs. Going to give that a try!
