Hello my first screen got some black/grey marks in the display and it was changed by apple. The second screen too has his issue now after 3 months... its crazy . I have 2 more years of warranty on the iMac but what if it happens after that?

Does anyone have this ?

I would post a picture so we can have better idea of what you mean.

It's the bottom left

Are these marks located in the bottom left/right corners of the screen?
I have posted a picture as well...

That would be dust, as the iMac pulls air directly from the bottom corners of the iMac. I had my 2014 RiMac's screen replaced twice for the issue, with the 2nd repair only lasting about 2 months before it started happening again. Apple eventually swapped out my machine for the latest 2015 iMac as I had a issue with my last repair.

That is not dust for sure. I have seen the screen and they are sealed there is no way dust can enter the place. In bombay you have the apple service guys come home and replace things like screens etc as apple india has at site service support here.

That is crazy though..... I hope the issue is not going to repeat again.

I happened to chance upon this thread and checked my screen, and lo behold! Have similar grey smudges on the bottom left of my screen too.

What did apple do for you in this case?

Just for information for any users facing the same problem in the future, Apple replaces the display if the unit is under warranty and they confirm that this is something the iMac faces frequently.

Looks like your place is relatively humid, moisture can cause this issue.

It's easy to check, if that will disappear after you keep the screen on for few hours (best to turn it to full bright), that's moisture.

There is not much you can do but keep replacing the screen by your warranty.
