    Hi all

Just replaced my old 2007 Imac for the 2015 (late) 5k - lovely piece of real-estate might I add.

    Couple of questions:
When I first switched on and registered I proceeded to connect macbook pro to Imac and transfer everything over. 111GB took me 1hour and 35minutes averaging 12mb/s to 18mb/s which is clearly not right for thunderbolt 2 connection. Any idea how long this task should of taken, also did another brief transfer today - 14.64GB/8 minutes.

First time using (browsing) and noticed the fan was audible but when played a Youtube clip it went ballistic and very hot so shut it down albeit it hasn't done it since but when doing say Word/Exel docs or general browsing I can hear the fan (Left side bottom corner) only faintly but nevertheless still audible - is this normal.

    Thanks in advance.

No idea on why the xfer took so long, mine went pretty fast. What browser are you using? I've never heard the fan in mine (I use Chrome for the little bit of browsing I do), the machine is usually running Photoshop and doing photo editing.
