    Hi forum,

So I was browsing around the wiki of the iMac and I have a question. Did the intel iMacs used to have non-mobile graphics? I see some cards like the X1600, 7300GT etc. without a m for mobile. Or did those cards not use an indication wether they were mobile?

They always used mobile cards. Its just that at some point Apple did hide that fact. The 2009 iMac was said to have the 4850 GPU while in fact it was the mobility version.

I think mobile card is a given red light signal.

Imagine trying to fit a PCIX card into that machine... Then point the fan exhaust somewhere. Lol
