    HI everyone

I tried searching for this on the website but couldn't find anything so i'll just ask. Hopefully no one yells at me for not searching:eek:. I have ripped alot of my widescreen dvds to my new aluminum iMac and much to my dissatisfaction I still see these blck bars at the bottom and top of my computer when viewing my film. I dont understand why this happens. My iMac is widescreen and this should only happen on non widescreen tvs. My friend tried messy around with the screen resolutions and he said he could not find he proper one. CAn somebody please help me solve my problem. How do I use my computer correctly as a widescreen display

Computer monitors aren't the same exact aspect ratio as widescreen movies, so there's going to be black bars.
