iMac Best Configuration?

Hi from Europe ,

Which of these four IMac 27' 5K configurations you would you choose?. My budget can not exceed of 2600€ (2900$). The question is.... more CPU or more GPU?.

My use is editing photo in raw format and video 4K with common programs (adobe premier, lightroom, photoshop, final cut....).

The options are:

- I7 4 GHz - AMD 395 2GB

- I5 3,3 GHz - AMD 395X 4GB

- I7 4 GHz - AMD 390 2GB

- I5 3,2 GHz - AMD 390 2GB

Doesn't it also depend on what size hard drive you need? Knowing the cost of the various options would no doubt help people advise you too.

For the hard drive I have opted for combining a 256GB SDD and Time Capsule.

I have the stock M395 model, and its fine, I don't know if photo editing software will take advantage of the M395x, but the M395 is no slouch

It depends on the program, many programs are not heavily threaded, I guess if you're really working hard in PS or video apps then the i7 may be a good choice.

I7 4 GHz - AMD 395 2GB

I would do this one. The i7 has hyperthreading, and is significantly faster than the i5. The biggest difference between the 395 and 395x is, to my understanding, the upgrade from 2GB VRAM to 4GB. This will come in handy with especially video, but so will the processing power. In general I think you will benefit more from the upgraded CPU vs. GPU, which is why I would suggest that.
