iMac Calendar edits do not change iPhone/iPad device, but device edits chg iMac

Changes to single events on iMac Calendar effect iPhone/iPad devices no problem.
Changes to single events on devices effect iMac no problem.
Changes to repeating events on devices effect iMac no problem.

Changes to repeating events on iMac DO NOT effect device events, PROBLEM.

Any suggestions😕
