iMac clicking right before the desktop appears

Is this happening to anyone else? Not normal right? Going to restart and see what happens. It says Hitachi hard drive. I also hear a constant hiss which sound like a fan or something, is that normal?

New 2.9 i7 8 gig Ram and 2TB HD
