This thread's degenerated... I can't wait until the end of the month so we can start a whole new series of threads when Apple doesn't announce a new iMac.![]()
That's what "newbies" do. If they didn't start threads like this then they wouldn't be newbies, would they?
If no update in July don't count on it happening this year
interestingly enough i check on apple store around my area some of them have zero on stock and expected on july 23 ...hmmm this doesnt really mean anything but its kinda interesting
here we go.. get ready for imac announcement tomorrow
I'm 100% ready for no announcement tomorrow, followed by new hardware on the 25th.
I try not to, but I do have my hopes up for a refresh on the 25th.
Logically I'm aware of the other possibilities, the most likely of which is actually next week. But I still think it's better than 50/50 for Wednesday so that's where my hopes lie.
I'm 100% ready for no announcement tomorrow, followed by new hardware on the 25th.
Wednesday is the only logical release date for the rest of this year.
Besides "July"? No, nothing officially. OP has a reasonable guess, though the 25th is as/more likely as the 24th, and you can't rule out the 31st.
Apple needs a new refreshed/updated product to support the launch of ML and the only thing left are desktops.
Seems Wednesday 7/25 will be a soft launch for ML along with refreshed Mac desktops.
If Apple does NOT do a soft launch on the 25th, I think that press will receive invitations this week to a small event on the 31st to launch ML and announce new redesigned desktops.
Anything later than that for desktop updates seems too close to iPhone 5/iOS 6 launch and Apple will absolutely not have those overlap.
or a series of threads from people complaining that the new imac doesn't have features like
1. Touch screen
2. Retina screen
3. No screen
4. No keyboard - direct connect to brain
5. Cupholder
6. Usb 5.0
7. Lte
8. Tv tuner
etc.
here we go.. get ready for imac announcement tomorrow
They will also release a new version of the Pippin on that day too.![]()
As for the iMac, Kuo believes that new Ivy Bridge-based iMacs have been delayed by screen lamination issues, with Apple's supply chain status suggesting it will be a tight schedule to meet an end of September launch for the updated models.
