iMAC Connection Question

I'll be getting an iMAC after Mac World.

My question is . . . what peripheral devices can connect via the 'Audio line in/optical digital audio input (minijack)'?

And . . . I "assume" . . . I would hook up my oldie but goodie Logitech 5-speaker system into the iMAC via the 'Headphone /optical digital audio output (minijack) . . correct?

You can connect pretty much any audio equipment, they are not propriatory interfaces - so yes you'd be able to use your 5.1 system.
