Hi Everyone -

My custom configured iMac order is due to arrive on Friday. If I wanted/needed to return it in 14 days would I be able to?

I read in the past that custom configured iMacs were non-returnable, so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks

The return policy is the same, but you might have to ship it back instead of doing an in-store return.

Question -

Late 2014 - 27 iMac with i7/4.0 - 16gb RAM - 2TB Fusion

or

Late 2015 - 21 iMac with i5/3.1 - 16gb RAM - 2TB Fusion

If they're both the same price ($2k) which would you go with?

I would go with late 2014 27" 5K TBH. I was unlucky with image persistence on the display, but I otherwise enjoyed mine for 18 months and it handled just about anything. The larger screen, dGPU, i7, and upgradeable RAM are big bonuses over the 21.5".

Thanks.

I'm so torn - it's actually $1,700 for the 27 iMac but with the Apple Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2 it'll come to the same cost.

So spec wise - the 2014 iMac Retina I listed is better than the 2015 Retina?

Yes, the specs are better aside from sRGB vs P3 on the display and the late 2015 might have a slightly faster SSD portion of the Fusion drive. Both of these are barely noticeable except for specific tasks. I also don't think the Magic Mouse 2/Magic Keyboard are worth the current cost if you can live with swapping batteries. The previous ones still work just fine.
