Well my Imac just shipped 😀 Looks like ill have it first part of next week. After all that worrying looks like Apple just gave me a 3 week ship date to cover there self
I placed an order earlier through the "Red Friday" sale that went on in some parts of Asia and it has an estimated time of 1-3 working days, though my delivery dates are estimated at 1/16-1/18. The only customization I did was for the 1TB fusion drive though. It looks like it's faster for me, possibly because I'm located closer to China?

The 780M is/was the hold up. When I ordered my iMac, selecting the 780M made it go to 4-6 business days where any other BTO option was 2-4 business days. Though now for the US store the 780M is back to 2-4 days as well.
Anyway, my iMac is off that long haul truck and at my local hub. Is it tomorrow yet? 😀
I just ordered a new iMac on November 21st and my iMac estimate date arrival is 28th November 1 December 1st. An it's still hasn't been at the shipping stage. My iMac is maxed out 8gb memory and 512gb flash and 395x graphic 4gb. I'm on the west coast and I'm wondering why they are taking so long. They even took the fund. I wonder if I too can get apple care and track pad for free like you did. How did you get it? What did you have to say to Apple customer service?

It comes down to the limited number of flights between the US and China because between China and New Zealand I ordered mine on 23/11/2015 and it arrived 30/11/2015. Btw, did you realise that the post you're replying to is almost 2 years old?
It is a hit or miss whether you get a 'made in the USA' Mac - the information I have is based on what I read a few years ago when it was first being launched where only a small set of iMac models were being assembled but it appears that they've expanded it to more.
