    Hi

During the waiting of my new iMac with SSD + 1 TB I was thinking the following:

"When I'm not using the data on the second disk If i use the option "spin down disk when possible" in the system preferences" I've a very very silent computer"

Now, i see that is not possible to set this property only for the HDD drive but only for all drive installed in my iMac.

So, its better to turn on this settings or eith the SSD drive its better to don't use this? thanks!

You can consider the SSD always spun down as it doesn't spin. :)
So the option only has an effect on the hard drive.

I read somewhere that this approach would damage the SSD. Probably I was wrong?

These SSDs were originally intended for notebook computers for their power savings and ruggedness. In a notebook the drive spins down every time you close the lid. So no way "spinning down" an SSD will hurt it.
