iMac displays 0MHz RAM

    My iMac Core Duo 1.83GHz with 1GB in 1 chip (Apple RAM) dispays this:

    Weird eh? The computer works fine.

    Do you have someone in the house he may have played with the .nib file?

    Very odd lamina, what does it show under system profiler? :confused:

    Your RAM has entered another dimension of the space-time continuum. Clock speed has no meaning there.

    It lists as 667 in system profiler... weird.

    trainguy77, what is a .nib file?

    The .nib files are what are used in almost all GUI interfaces in os x. They are very easy to edit(click and drag) So it is possible for someone to go into the .nib file for the about this mac pane then do whatever they want including disconnect the memory section from the code behind then replace it with regular text. But of coarse they need admin privileges to do this. Also try cleaning out caches with some maintenance program.
