iMac Doesn't Read CDs

Hey everyone,

I have an iMac Core 2 Duo. When I insert a disk, I hear it spin up, but then just eject. It happens with both CDs and DVDs. Any idea why?

It may sound dumb, but are you putting them in the right direction? With the label facing you?
