Imac drumming noise at login help

whenever i log out of an account on my imac it makes a very loud drumming noise and when i click an account the password is already typed in, it looks like, but it says its incorrect. It sounds like a key is being pressed down but i dont believe thats it. if i can get a sound clip of it i will. Thanks for the help in advance.

What keyboard are you using, wired/wireless? What happens if you open up a blank TextEdit document, does a letter start auto-entering on screen?

wired apple keyboard and its only at the log in screen that it does it
