iMac DVD Burner problem

😕Hi
I have an iMac 24" aluminium and it seems like forever that I have had an issue with the internal DVD Burner, the problem being that it will not read genuine audio cd's (but will if it's a copy and copied by a mac).
Anyone else having this problem or know of a cure, sure be grateful if anyone can help.

Let me get this straight,

your internal cd burner in your Mac is fried?

If so, you might want to take a trip to the Apple Store; unless you want to do it yourself...

iMac DVD Burner problem

No the DVD plays and burns disc's just great and read data cd's but won't read retail audio cd's at all (well sometimes maybe 1 out of 20

Call Apple, and get the drive fixed/replaced.
