What would cause my imac to enter letters into input fields such as spotlight on it's own? Also I hear a clicking noise from the speakers when the computer is acting up. One time it kept trying to open my hard drive. I am running OS X 10.5.6 on a 2.4ghz imac.

Do you have Speech enabled? You might be picking up background noises that are being entered as keystrokes.

I spilled soda on my keyboard when I was like 12 or so and the Z key got stuck down. Of course when you look at the keyboard, everything looks normal, but when you load up a typing program, (Microsoft Word) the Z key goes off like crazy.
