iMac error code problem and internet explorer

My sister just bought an old imac, everytime she starts the computer Error #5016 and then an error # 301 comes out saying that the macintosh does not support the apple dvd player, is there a way to make that go away and besides that when i try go into myspace the page shows but all the links are everywhere, do i need to download a new internet explorer for it, and if so where can i download it. I dont have the CD to restart my computer


Please help
