imac F11 volume not working properly

This just started today and it is really annoying for some reason the F11 key acts like the like the F12 key please help

so your volume goes up instead of down? maybe your hitting the wrong buttons.

go into system prefs - keyboard - keyboard shortcuts and hit restore defaults and see if that helps

I'm not hitting the wrong buttons and its not only those. it's acting like certain button has command over to things, like if I hit the + I get +? like the bottons themelves are not wired properly

i was getting that exact same thing on my tmobile g1. if i pressed the number 2 it gave me 2@ or if i hit o it would type out o+. weird. i never figured it out though, sorry.
