Resolved iMac G3 DV 400Mhz FIREWIRE doesn't work!

Thanks to the great assistence of @MacTech68 it's working again.

My 1999 version of the iMac G3 has an Firewire/Lan add-on board and it seems reseating it brought the Firewire ports back to life. Really happy.
