Will this machine have a problem running 700mb .mp4 files?

I plan on bumping the ram to 1gb, HD to 120gb & Installing Jaguar on it.

I thought about making a flash interface for her. It would have graphics of the dvd's, and then launch the mp4 when clicked. Has anyone done something like this? And what are your experiences with a 2 yr old navigating a computer? Thanks.

My PowerBook 1.33GHz only just plays them, presuming you mean h264 mp4 files?

I wouldn't imagine the iMac would run them very well if at all.

Flying with American Airlines
Jaguar will be terribly slow.

With your upgrades, it can run Panther or even Tiger, but Panther would be faster.

I'm also upgrading a graphite iMac [400MHz] - 512MB RAM, 20GB hard drive, Tiger :) -- but the hard drive and RAM will be like your daughter's.

As for the the flash interface....no idea. :(

Have fun!
