I bought a few iMAC G3's and clamshells (one of each in every color) a while back just based on their super cool retro aesthetics and personal nostalgia. I finally decided to use them for something--got them all up and running smoothly (9.0.4) and I am trying to figure out a way to use them as digital picture frames.

Here's my problem: I cannot figure out how to get a fullscreen/looped slideshow going.
Displaying one image "fullscreen" is no problem (title bar is always there unless I adjust the monitor proportions to a point where you cannot see it).
I created a simple slideshow on my macbook using imovie and exported it as a quicktime jpeg compressed video file. That works on the G3 (running Quicktime 5, it took a couple trial and error compression settings until I found one that worked)
BUT there is no way to get the video to play in a loop.
I looked through the mac repository and a couple other places for software that might be able to do this, but with no luck.
Anyone have an idea how to do this? I'm guessing its possible, but I cannot figure it out.

Can Quicktime Player not play in a loop?

I think I remember doing this with QT.

This version cannot.
I doubled checked and its running QT 4.1.2 (not QT5)
Not sure if 5 can run a loop, tried to install it and check with no success
"application program that created it could not be found"
"could not find a translation extension with appropriate translators"
It was a file called "quicktime5.cdr", i found the same one on a couple different sites.

For image slideshows, JPEGView has a slideshow option ftp://ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu/Mosaic/Mac/Helpers/jpeg-view-331.hqx

OS 9 versions of GraphicConverter also have a SlideShow option. See the version 5.9.5 "Classic" links here:

As for Quicktime, try v6.0.3 from here (I Can't recall if Quicktime Player needs a Pro Registration for "loop" playback - it does for full screen):
