Hi All,

Some of you might have seen my thread, iMac G3 Revival.

I am trying to get as much RAM as possible into my iMac, i have 2 256mb modules and a 128mb module, it reads both 256mb modules as 128 and the 128 as 64!

can anyone help me out? I've tried switching them round etc but nothing

What OS are you running? If you are running OS 9 or OS 8 I believe there are some ram limitations, but not sure i'm remembering correctly.

Here you are :D

In datasheet of above chip is stated:

4Mbit x 4banks x 16 = 16x16 = high density :)

so what would low density be? 32mb x 8? how did u find that :p

Arkious if you read the FAQ as I told you , you should know that you should buy low density rams :p
GO change those sticks and put that g3 rockin =) Good Luck =)

yeah i know that from you, but i had to find out if the stuff i had was high or low density :) and what the difference was as I've never known the difference
