Imac G3 upgrade

hi got a 400mhz g3 imac running 10.4.6 i just brought a 256mb upgrade for my grandfather, it's currently running tiger on 196mb of ram, when i upgrade it will be running at 384mb will i notice a difference in performence😕 i hope so 😱 sorry if any this seems a little unreadable, but its 12 midnight here

You won't notice much. I would max it at 1 GB. I bumped it from 256 MB to 1 GB & it was so much better. 🙂
