Hi,

One day, while turning on my 266 Mhz iMac G3 in the morning, I got an unexpected error. Now, when I turn on the computer, there is a white screen with a command line similar to DOS or whatever, where I had to type "boot" to start the computer. After starting the computer, I routinely typed in boot, and this error message came up:

[boot] can't open: ide0/@0:5,\\:tbxi

I don't know what the problem is, somebody please help me. The iMac has OS 10.3 installed on it, and I do not have the install discs for Panther.

won't boot

I'm trying to remember back to having that exact thing, had something to do with updating firmware for OS X on that old of machine... I'll keep hunting so until then google firmware upadate and see what you find, when I find it I will post it on my blog... good luck
