imac g3 wont start

i have an imac g3 everything was working fine until one day i left to go do something and when i came back and it was sleeping as usual, but when i moved the mouse to wake it up, but it shut off....i tried to turn it back on but the screen doesnt turn on and all i hear is the fan...SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Disconnect all peripherals and try booting form the OS CDs by holding C.

Does it chime? Mine did almost the same thing earlier today and I opened its casing and jiggled the motherboard a tad, re-assembled it, and everything was fine.

I guess everyone needs their motherboard jiggled every now and then😀
