Hey guys,
Been getting frustrated trying to find an answer for this...

I just picked up a 1ghz G4 iMac, 80gb hd, 256mb ram, USB 1.1...
Put 10.5 on it, and it's running really slow. I'm looking to upgrade the ram, but I can't find exactly what type I need, it's either PC2100 or PC2700.. but certain sites say it should be one or the other... so I'm a little confused or is either just as good?

Thanks heaps
-Alan

Can't you just open up the unit and see what is in it already? You should be able to go to system profiler and it will tell you.

The 700 & 800 MHz models take standard PC133, but PC100 would work just as well and the 1.0 & 1.25 GHz models take DDR333.
