I thought I had tossed the old lampshade iMac out a few years ago. To my delight I found it stuffed away in a closet I never use. Is there a reputable place people can recommend for buying used parts like a power supply? I am assuming all parts would be used at this point. I have a couple of Dual G4 towers (think 1ghz and 1.25ghz) that I might need parts for as well at some point. I am more interested in trying to get the iMac going though as that is really a masterpiece. I am in Canada.

Thanks!

Ebay is a good place to look. If youre comfy with a solder iron & can find a iMac g4 capacitor list (I don’t have one or I’d give it to you) for the specific iMac model you have, you can buy from a reputable place like mouser & could recap the one you have. I also read on another forum that in a pinch you can use an external 12volt psu & solder the lead directly onto the lobo. Hmm where did I see that…

Here, post #4.

Good luck 🙂
