    Hello,

I've installed a new 80 Gb Western Digital hard drive in an iMac G4. I've launched OS X 10.5 installer from an usb key. The disk utility display only 31.5 Gb instead of 80 Gb. I've created a partition with Apple Partition Map option, and I get what you see on the screenshot below, size 31.4 Gb, available 30.3 Gb.

I've tried to have disk utility check the hard drive. It fails with the following message :

    System Verification
    Checking.
    Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume
    Invalid key length
    Invalid key length
Catalog file entry not found for extent
    Checking the volume has failed
Error checking or repairing the file system failed.

Whan I try Disk Warrior, it detects no problem on the disk

How can I fix this problem ?

    Thank you

I've found the solution. I've made a mistake by taking example for the position of the Master/Slave jumpers on the initial hard drive of the iMac. Each hard drive seems to have its own configuration concerning the jumpers. I've read the documentation, put the jumper at the right place, and now I have 74.5 Gb.
