That USB 1.0 is shockingly slow... Do not think you can live with it if u are planning on streaming media or using it to drop files to the local drive, it sucks hard..
Fw would be the only option.
Besides that, the iMac g4 is an okay box as far as it goes, but do not expect miracles.
I've owned 4 of them and have currently only kept one in storage the top of the line 17 inch model as the other ones were too slow for my use.
