iMac G4 fans constantly running

As stated above, my iMacs (G4 20" running 10.3.9) fans are running all the time, apart from when the machine is sleeping... Are they supposed to do that? Temperature monitor says 43 c, so it,s not like its cooking in there..

Yep, AFAIK, the G4 iMac's fans are always running.

Sounds like my PB G4 12". Constant fan noise gets irritating after a while.

Yep, AFAIK, the G4 iMac's fans are always running.

It's that way on my iMac G4 800 MHz too. The fan is very quiet but it's constant under any CPU load.

Get can of duster and spray it out. I did that to mine and it didn't annoy me as much.
