Got an iMac G4 (and an eMac) for free today! The iMac G4 is an 800 MHz 15" model (the screen has some defective pixels, but it's still in working condition). The eMac, a 1 Ghz model, on the other hand, doesn't seem to want to even power on. I'll have to investigate further.

Anyway, here's the money shot of my PPC iMac collection: my 500 MHz iMac G3 next to my new 800 MHz iMac G4!

Good luck on the troubleshooting of your eMac. When up & running they are a welcome addition to any Mac collection - especially your 1GHz model (mine is a 800MHz - but still impressive). I still have a new post to put together on the forum here, on the tear-down of mine in order to change a defective optical drive. They're built like battleships! But I hope I don't have another to do too soon.

I have a 15" panel for the iMac. It worked fine from what I remember. Yours for shipping cost.

Congrats on the iMac G4! I have an unreasonable love for these machines and still use one daily in my kitchen for music and recipes. Mine is even a 15" 800MHz model jus trike yours! If you bump the RAM to 1GB, it will run Leopard like a champ.

Your iMacG4 will be certainly still running for recipes and music, when our iPad2 (which is used for that purpose now and which has been getting slower and slower with each update) is already dead for years....
