iMac G5 - 1.6GHz

Hello,
I just purchased an iMac G5 (1.6GHz) w/ a bad hard drive. Is there a limit to the size of hard drive that I can put in it? I was wanting to put a 500GB SATA in it, will that be ok? Thanks for your help!

The 1.6 iMac G5's use Ultra ATA hard drives, not SATA, so you would be limited to whatever size ATA HD you can find.

That's very interesting. That's the first time I've seen wrong information in the Mactracker app (unless the 40 GB Ultra ATA was a special education model?) Thanks for pointing that out.

So then that makes it absolutely possible to put that 500 GB SATA drive in it.
