Hi,
My Imac does not remember how to sleep. Put it to sleep and it turns off. It also wont sleep on its own. The screen goes to sleep but the light on the bottom never flashes like it used to when it sleeps. I tried opening the back of it to reset the thing that controls the sleep and power end of it but that did not do it. I hit that button (under the manual power button on the board) when it was not plugged in, if that makes a difference. I also reset the Pram. Any ideas on what else I can do??

Thanks

Try creating a new user account and see if you could set up energy saver properly in that new user account and see if the iMac G5 sleeps.
