I'm sure your own Rev C iMac is very quiet - I've read many posts from people who say the same. I assume, however, that you haven't read the many posts highlighting the various rogue machines that are obviously out there - just hope I don't get one!:) :) :)

I haven't seen any mention of Rev C fan problems either - can you post a link to a thread where it's mentioned?

it sounds like some sort of throttling on the bottom left of the screen.
If I cover up that little port just below the stand slot, the sound gets a LOT lower.

Is NVRAM resettng something one should try?

will apple help to do anything about it?
