So, I've been working on a small project which involves a complete teardown of a Mac.
I didn't want to mess anything up so started with a faulty iMac G5.
It's been stripped of all electronics, and now just has the casing with the metal plates inside.
(Basically like any new iMac rear case).
I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the metal plate as well.
There are loads of screws, but there are also some weird latch like pieces that I'm not so sure about.
If anyone could help with a guide, pics or links, I'd be grateful.

Thanks

I did look at a few of them but couldn't find what I was looking for.
As far as I know you can't really replace the metal frame without buying a new rear case.
I wouldn't see any reason for anyone to remove it so I wouldn't expect any official guides.
I'm just hoping that maybe someone in the past has done it and perhaps they can share how they did it 🙂

Going to bump this up. Looking for all help I can get 🙂

Want to try and get this done in the next few days!
