iMac G5 iSight Power button issues

I am having some issues with my G5 iMac (20" iSight model)

The computer only turns on 1 out of 30 times when I press the power button (ie: like playing the lottery when I press the button if it will turn on or not)


Maybe I could fix it myself but, I have looked online at some dis-assembly guides, they all go in from the front to replace HDD, Superdriver etc.
None of them go near the back end of the iMac....

Have any of you bright minds got a suggestion as to what might be wrong with it, and what I could do to fix it ?

The only way to go into that iMac is from the front.

Thanks, well say if I goin from the front, then....the power button, what would I be doing to fix it ?
