iMac G6 ???

So what do you guys think the next iMac is gonna be? I am pretty sure it is getting close. This is what i think...

iMac G6:
-It's gonna have an even thinner display and its going to be way lighter.
-Wireless keyboard and mouse will be standard.
- I think the screen of the imac is going to double as a tablet mac. (this is kinda iffy just cuz who wants to haul around a 24 inch tablet...but i can still dream.
-the screen will definately have touch technology similar to the iPhone.
-i think the iMac will be one of their first computers that will have a penryn processor inside

-marshal
what do you guys think
 
The thread is irrelevant, but I'm going to give the OP the benefit of the doubt and assume he maybe means a 6th Gen iMac? Maybe?
 
The number of people who put iMacs on ebay as 'G5s' and then say it's got an Intel Core Duo in the specs is very high 😡
 
i predict a iMac G6 made by Dell or Sony 😉

oh they tried that and they all looked crap 😀
 
sorry about the g6 thing im not to up to date with all that stuff. but i think a new model is coming soon because they have had the same for a while now.

What are you talking about...

The new Aluminium iMacs came out on the 7th of August 2007 which is about 3 month ago there wont be another update for a while.
 
Right, a new iMac comes out every year or two, so don't go predicting specs yet. Plus you'll have something else to predict about soon with macworld comming up...

We're (mostly) just teasing. It's cool. You're new. Welcome to the boards and the Apple-world.

FTR, there probably won't be new iMacs for a while yet, who knows what specs we'll see by then. Maybe it'll fly, or be able to pack my lunch on a night... here's hoping.

I believe the OP thinks that a new model should be coming out because the new Aluminum's have a similar body shape to the white G5/Intel iMac.

But the guts of the new machines are very different from those other iMacs, this the OP might not understand. New guts, new Generation. Therefore no new iMac is expected anytime soon.
 
I'm really curious as to when and what the "new" iMacs should be. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the current design but I would like to see a change. The thing is though, WHAT could they possibly do to make a different design? I really hope it will be more than a mere "speed bump".

They could make it thinner. They could add features. they will find a redesign...

Yes, Johnny Ive is like a god to me. He'll figure something out. I still wish people would do some looking around before posting some techy wet dream with little basis in reality not to mention complete unfeasibility.
 
Well sinceApple changed the regular Macbooks to Pro... Maybe they'll make the new iMacs.... iMac Pro? Then they will release the white one again and call it an iMac 😛

Oh btw.. this is almost 2 year old thread lol. iMac G6 hehehe
