After several hours in idle , the temperature of CPU and Hard disk raises to 56 degrees Celsius. While with 10.9.4 it was around 30 degrees.

Interesting. I've noticed the opposite, my 2010 MPB has been running a lot cooler, or at least the fan doesn't kick in as much. With Mavericks if I was using Matlab and listening to music the fan would run pretty good. However with Yosemite, right now with Matlab running and listening to music the fan is sitting at idle 2000 RPM and CPU is at 128* F.

When it gets hot have you opened up Activity Monitor to see if there are any processes using a lot of CPU?

In fact the CPU usage at that time was 1% only. No usage. The fan speed was at minimum as usual -1400 rpm

I have a rMBP and seems to be cooler when plugged to the charger, but once it is on battery I can feel a warmer keyboard

Of course I have sent the feedback to :apple:

Currently on a Late 2009 27" iMac and on 10.10 Public Beta. HD and CPU temp at about 44 degrees. Seems okay.

Sometimes the temp raises to 56 , sometimes is still 32... maybe the app for temp sensors is buggy. . What app do you use?
